Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Linux-based Network Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will primarily focus on the deployment, management, and optimization of Netris along with Mellanox/Nvidia hardware for high-performance networking environments. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about cutting-edge networking technologies and Linux-based systems to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Netris:
Install, configure, and maintain Netris controllers (both hardware and software components) in a high-availability environment.
Ensure smooth deployment and ongoing operation of network services through Netris controller, focusing on SDN and automated network management.
Troubleshoot and resolve network-related issues, ensuring minimal downtime.
Mellanox/Nvidia Hardware Expertise:
Install, configure, and manage Mellanox/Nvidia hardware solutions (NICs, switches, adapters, and other interconnect devices).
Perform regular hardware upgrades and optimization on Mellanox/Nvidia network devices to maintain performance and reliability.
Work with engineering teams to test, validate, and integrate new hardware and software.
Network Design and Optimization:
Design, implement, and maintain scalable and secure network infrastructures leveraging Netris for network management and Mellanox/Nvidia hardware.
Optimize data traffic across high-performance networks, ensuring reduced latency and maximized throughput.
Implement network performance monitoring, reporting, and fine-tuning to maintain top-tier performance.
Linux Systems Administration:
Administer Linux servers and network appliances, including configuration, patch management, and system hardening.
Provide support for Linux-based network tools and services, ensuring high availability and disaster recovery.
Develop and automate scripts (e.g., Bash, Python) for network management tasks and monitoring.
Collaboration & Troubleshooting:
Work closely with cross-functional teams to support project requirements, network design, and troubleshooting.
Diagnose and resolve complex network performance and hardware issues related to Netris and Mellanox/Nvidia components.
Create and maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
Security & Compliance:
Ensure that all network systems meet security standards and industry best practices.
Work with security teams to proactively identify vulnerabilities and implement appropriate fixes or mitigations.
Required Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience:
10+ years of hands-on networking/linux experience
Proven experience with Linux systems administration (CentOS, Ubuntu, RedHat, etc.).
Experience with deploying and managing Netris in production environments.
Hands-on experience with Mellanox/Nvidia hardware, including NICs, switches, and adapters.
Strong knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, VLAN, BGP, VxLAN, etc.).
Familiarity with SDN (Software-Defined Networking) principles and practices.
Previous experience with network automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or similar.
Skills:
Proficient in shell scripting (Bash, Python) for automating network management tasks.
Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to analyze network traffic, debug hardware, and resolve software-related issues.
Knowledge of network performance monitoring tools (e.g., SNMP, NetFlow, Wireshark).
Familiarity with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or relevant Linux certifications (e.g., RHCE) are a plus.
Experience with Netris.
Previous experience in an on-prem, globally distributed datacenter environment.
