ABOC is hiring a Network Engineer. We are looking for a talented Network Engineer to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will have experience in designing, implementing, and managing complex network infrastructures. You will play a critical role in ensuring the performance, reliability, and security of our network systems.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure, including Juniper routers, switches, SASE, WLAN, and firewalls.
  • Configure and manage LAN/WAN networks and network devices.
  • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support network-related projects and initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive network documentation, including diagrams and configuration files.
  • Ensure network security through best practices, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems.
  • Perform regular backups, updates, and patches on network devices.
  • Partner with Information Security to select, deploy and maintain security tooling.
  • Implement and maintain proactive security controls to mitigate cyber threats.
  • Respond to security incidents and participate in incident response procedures.
  • Stay informed on the latest cyber threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and team members.
  • Participate in on-call support and incident response activities.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Network Engineer or in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of networking protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS).
  • Experience with network security practices and tools.
  • Proficiency in network monitoring and management tools.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Juniper) are a plus.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell) for automation.
  • Experience with cloud networking solutions and virtualization technologies.
  • Knowledge of network management systems and performance monitoring tools.
