Harmonia is currently looking for a smart and self-motivated Network Engineer who understands a wide range of technologies and can provide technology modernization leadership at a major agency.
The position provides an opportunity to develop, support and advance the cutting-edge technology that supports our nation’s fundamental defense services. Employees work closely with the government to develop solutions.
TS/SCI security clearance is required at the time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain information system components within Government-owned facilities.
- Provides technical analysis in data network planning, engineering, and design, and implements techniques and tools to improve the network.
- Responsible for network evaluations, network critical item tests, etc. integration, development, and operations support
- Coordinate with all stakeholders to provide requirements and test procedures for network systems.
- An understanding of hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as switches, routers, firewalls, etc. is required.
- An understanding of OSPF, Static Routes, VLANs, L3 VLAN interfaces, ACLs, Multicast, PIM Dense and PIM Sparse, QoS fundamentals and application
- Integrate enterprise applications with other interconnected systems.
- Provide escalation support to system support personnel.
- Develop and implement network security solutions.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot network issues.
- Document network configurations and procedures.
- Stay up to date on the latest networking technologies.
- Train and mentor junior network engineers.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA).
- At least 8 years of experience in system administration.
- Strong understanding of DevOps principles and technologies.
- Experience with network security solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
