Summary/Overview:

KBRA Holdings is seeking a Network Engineer II to join our dynamic Networking Infrastructure Team. The ideal candidate for this role will be a hands-on professional with a strong foundation in Cisco Networking, together with experience managing Arista switches and Juniper Firewalls.

As a key player in our Infrastructure team, you will be primarily responsible for design, implementation, maintenance and troubleshooting of our core network infrastructure, ensuring reliable connectivity, security, and performance. You’ll collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless connectivity across our data centers, offices, cloud platforms, and remote workforce.

This is a fully remote role with occasional travel (up to 5%).  On-Call Rotation Required.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Administer and maintain the organization’s layer 2/3 network solutions in the enterprise, data center, and hybrid cloud environments.
  • Perform hands-on configuration of Cisco IOS/XE, Arista EOS, and Juno OS systems.
  • Support and optimize routing protocols (OSPF, BPG, etc. and VLAN/VXLAN topologies.
  • Partner with business stakeholders and cross-functional teams to understand their needs and translate them into network solutions.
  • Leverage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to automate and manage network configurations using Terraform, Ansible, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Document network changes, incidents, and projects to maintain a knowledge base for future enhancements.
  • Provide clear communication during critical incidents, ensuring swift resolution and minimal business impact.

You are a methodical and forward-thinking network engineer who values stability, clarity and continuous improvement. You communicate clearly, whether explaining complex concepts to peers or documenting a detailed configuration for future reference.  You believe good documentation isn’t just a formality, but a critical component in achieving long-term manageability.

You’re proactive in identifying areas for improvement and don’t shy away from automating repetitive tasks.  While you are skilled at technical troubleshooting you always keep an eye on the bigger picture: how every design decision contributes to a more resilient, available, and scalable network.

Successful candidates will possess the following:

Technical Expertise:

  • Hands-on experience with network protocols and standards (Dynamic/Static Routing, Layer 2 & Layer 4, etc.).
  • Strong Expertise in Cisco, Arista, and/or Juniper switches, routers, and wireless hardware.
  • Deep understanding of TCP/IP, subnetting, NAT, ACLs, and routing protocols.
  • Experience with self-service automation and network orchestration to streamline operations.
  • Deep expertise in on-premises networking with some exposure to cloud networking (AWS, Azure).
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, and Arista networking equipment.
  • Familiarity with network protocols and standards (Dynamic/Static Routing, Layer 2 & Layer 4, etc.).
  • Familiarity with site-to-site VPN tunneling including both hardware and software-based solutions
  • Strong troubleshooting skills, including packet capture analysis and network diagnostics.

Soft Skills & Business Acumen:

  • Ability to translate business needs into technical network solutions.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve company objectives.
  • Strong written documentation skills to clearly capture processes and incidents.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in Network Engineering.
  • Some experience working with cloud-based networking (AWS, Azure).
  • Certifications preferred: CCNP, JNCIA/JNCIS, JNCIP, CCIE/JNCIE.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Experience in regulated or highly available environments (e.g., finance, healthcare, SaaS)

Salary Range:

The anticipated annual base salary range for this full-time position is $120,000 - $140,000. Offer amounts are determined by factors such as experience, skills, geography, and other job-related factors.
