The Opportunity
The Network Administrator II position will assist with the day to day operations of the network infrastructure that supports products and solutions to our Clients. Working with Development, Product, Production Support, and Build teams, the candidate will maintain, support, and optimize network infrastructure services to provide resiliency, stability, and meet the requirements of the business.
Day in the Life

The Network Administrator II position’s primary responsibilities include the support and ongoing maintenance of the network infrastructure to ensure stability, resiliency, security, and services to our clients.

This position will involve working and resolving service requests, incidents, problem tasks, and changes related to the Velera Network Infrastructure.

Participates in network device hardware and software upgrades, vulnerability remediation, and incident/alert response in support of maintaining the security posture of our products and for compliance requirements.

Engage in operational run activities such as standardization initiatives, routine compliance tasks, patch management, capacity planning, SSL certificate management, and network monitoring enhancements.

Monitor and support corporate and client telecom circuits, working with various carriers and vendors on incident resolution and optimization.

Engage in triage/incident bridge calls and participate in an on-call rotation providing after hours and weekend network support as needed

High level of Customer Service experience working with external customers, vendors and internal business departments to provide a high level of customer satisfaction

Provide technical consulting services to the company’s internal and external customers
Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree preferred
-
Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification or equivalent experience
-
Relevant Industry certifications including Azure and/or AWS or equivalent experience
-
2-5 years relevant experience in subject matter
-
Solid knowledge and experience supporting and maintaining LAN/WAN infrastructure in a large complex multi-datacenter environment servicing financial data and applications.

Support and management of complex firewall security policies within a PCI compliant environment.

Solid experience configuring and maintaining Cisco routing/switching, various Firewall platform vendors, and F5 Load Balancing.

Possess a foundational technical understanding of voice technology, terminology, and concepts to support and troubleshoot voice related problems within a multi-Contact Center environment.

General understanding of SIP, SIP Trunking and SBCs. Familiarity with IVRs and associated self-service platforms

Utilize troubleshooting and analytical skills to participate in incident resolution and root cause determination

Working knowledge of cloud computing, IaaS, and CCaaS
-
Excellent verbal and written communications skills, with an ability to express and document complex technical concepts in business terms.
