Job Description:

Microchip Technology is looking for a Senior full stack .Net and Mongo DB developer. This individual will be part of the Marketing Communications Web Development team and will be responsible to build software using languages and technologies of the .NET framework.
The individual will design and architect web applications ensuring the alignment of software design and user experience requirements, proposing optimum and scalable solutions. This position requires a strong understanding of business needs and web technologies to help evaluate and select appropriate tools to support the growth, vision, and roadmap for the website.

Position Duties
Participate in requirements analysis
Collaborate with internal teams to produce software design and architecture for our website

Write clean, scalable code using .NET programming languages
Test and deploy applications and systems
Revise, update, refactor and debug code
Improve existing software
Serve as an expert on applications and provide technical support

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s or equivalent degree in Computer Science and Information technology 
  • 5+ years of development Experience with Visual Studio, C#, ASP.NET, MVC, and latest versions of .net framework including .net core. 
  • Experience in Html, CSS, Bootstrap, JavaScript and SPA framework 
  • Experience in having designed and architected On Premise and Cloud based Single Sign On enterprise solutions with primary focus on OAuth and OpenID Connect authentication protocols 
  • Strong working knowledge of JSON, REST, Microservices, MVC and MVVM 
  • Strong with .Net architectural and Design patterns and principles 
  • Experience in responsive User Interface Development for the web desktop and mobile devices 
  • Experience in MongoDB database management, performance tuning, architecture and design.
  • Experience in MongoDB security, managing roles and permissions.
  • Experience in MongoDB Indexes and Triggers.
  • Knowledge of MongoDB Atlas is an added advantage
  • Experience in developing simple to complex SQL queries and troubleshoot database performance issues is an added advantage
  • Familiarity in use of distributed caching solutions and products 
  • 3-5+ years of experience with version control (e.g. Git, AzureDevOps) 
  • Exposure to performance and scalability improvement is desired 
  • Good written and oral communication/presentation skills  
  • Out of the box thinking and creative problem-solving skills is desired 
  • Experience with Agile software development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)
