Position Overview

We seek a skilled and experienced mid-level .NET engineer to join our dynamic software development team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing software solutions using the .NET Core and related technologies. This position requires a strong understanding of .NET development practices and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. 

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable .NET code, with an emphasis on performance and scalability.
  • Collaborate with product owners, designers, and other developers to define and implement innovative features and solutions.
  • Participate in agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and backlog grooming.
  • Participate in code reviews to maintain high code quality and share knowledge within the team.
  • Implement and maintain best practices in code organization, testing, and deployment to ensure a maintainable codebase.
  • Document technical designs, processes, and system requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in .NET development, with strong proficiency in C#, ASP.NET, .NET Core, and MVC frameworks.
  • Deep understanding of the .NET ecosystem, including libraries and tools for building web-based applications.
  • Proficiency with relational databases, particularly SQL Server, including experience with database design and optimization.
  • Solid understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) principles and design patterns.
  • Familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and modern frameworks like React, Angular, or Blazor is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience with version control tools, particularly Git.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Remote; 40 hrs / wk, 9am - 5pm EST; some overlap with Eastern Standard Time required.
  • Contract Length: 3 months with potential to extend.

Compensation

  • $65.00 per hour USD.
  • Compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors including skills, education, certifications, and overall experience for this role.
