Responsibilities:

• To carry out NDT testing in the laboratory / Field and prepare preliminary report or work sheet;
• To perform regular maintenance and calibration of testing equipment in laboratory;
• To carry out the roles of Responsible Officer (RO) for projects that includes surveillance on Welding Inspection, NDT, final dimension control, Painting / Coating Inspection etc;
• T o carry out housekeeping task in the department/ take care of field equipment;
• To observe the safety requirements and responsibilities as documented in the management manual and associated documentation;
• To prepare every necessary record/ document report concisely on the daily testing operations and other different activities;
• To be responsible for other duties as assigned by supervising staff.
   

Requirements:

• Degree in engineering or equivalent preferred, with qualification in non ­destructive testing (NDT) and a minimum of ten years’ hands-on experience in non-destructive testing;
• Experience in project management, planning and budgetary control in a supervisory role in the energy, chemical processing or infrastructure industry;
• Previous experience of working in a utility class fossil fuel fired power station is highly preferred;
• Good leadership and strong planning capability;
• Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, with strong analytical and communication skills and a self-motivated team player; and
• Proficient in computer skills including Word, Excel and PowerPoint; knowledge in Project, Access or Programming language would be an advantage.
