How you will contribute
You will:

  • Develop and drive broad customer relationships across all levels with a key focus on building relationships at an appropriate level within the customer.
  • Execute the strategy for the customer
  • Ensure the delivery of JCBP (Joint Customer Business Plan).
  • Optimize the use of resources in order to obtain more profitability in the operations

Key accountabilities include:

  • Supporting the National Account Manager to ensure an effectively communicated, coordinated and focused sales effort against key commercial priorities for the channel
  • Negotiating with applicable account representatives in the Independents channel, building and maintaining favorable and effective relationships with key customers
  • Ensuring relevant sales promotions, merchandising, shelf management and national sales programs are communicated to and executed by the field team as required
  • Ensuring effective implementation of trade funds are managed within budgeted guidelines in line with the customer investment and account claims policy. Ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all activity in relevant
  • Company systems (e.g. Acumen) to ensure nil disputed claims and to optimize our trade spend efficiency
  • With the objective of achieving distribution and volume targets established by sales/marketing, develop local and implement national sales programs for each account or segment
  • Support winning categories by supporting the development of Customer business plans at the National Level


More about this role
Experience/what you will bring:

  • Experience in fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) Company or fast paced environment
  • Background in Sales and/or relevant function including account management, finance, marketing or demand/supply planning
  • Experience with Independents stores is highly regarded
  • Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint


Qualifications:

  • Formal qualification in business related discipline or equivalent sales experience (3-5 years)
