Key Responsibilities:

Deal Structuring & Pricing

  • Assess all assigned bids, quotes, and proposals to ensure compliance with policies, including:
  • Gross margin return on pricing requests
  • Non-standard commercial terms and conditions
  • Unusual risks
  • Channel program integrity (if applicable)
  • Build profit and loss (P&L) statements and conduct gross margin analysis for customer opportunities.
  • Provide pricing guidance and financial decision support to enhance deal profitability while ensuring competitive positioning.

Approval & Compliance Management

  • Lead bid/quote/proposal opportunities through the bid review process, ensuring proper qualification and approvals.
  • Coordinate with Finance, Legal, Product Management, Professional Services, and Service Architects to capture costs and mitigate risks.
  • Ensure deals comply with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) and Multiple Element Accounting requirements where applicable.
  • Maintain knowledge of US GAAP and International Accounting Standards to support financial compliance.

Sales Enablement & Process Optimization

  • Educate sales teams on deal desk processes, including best practices for deal structuring, bid reviews, and revenue recognition.
  • Support regional pricing and strategic initiatives to improve profitability and competitiveness.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives in the deal desk process.

Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Conduct ongoing financial analysis on bid trends, pricing strategies, margin performance, and price erosion.
  • Utilize data analytics tools (such as Tableau) to generate reports that inform pricing and sales strategies.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the company’s business model, markets, and products.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business, accounting, or economics.
  • 3+ years of experience in deal desk, sales operations, pricing analysis, or contract management.
  • 5-10 years of experience
  • Recognized professional Accounting/Business qualification is a plus
  • Strong financial and analytical skills, gained through formal education or work experience.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and experience with CPQ systems (e.g., Salesforce, Oracle CPQ, SAP CPQ). Tableau experience is a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of US GAAP and international accounting standards.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with senior management and colleagues across multiple countries and cultures.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • High level of motivation, initiative, and willingness to learn.
