Position Responsibilities:
- Operate multi-spindle screw machines:
- Load bar stock
- Inspect parts using gauges, calipers and other measuring devices to ensure parts conform to Part Drawings and Setup Sheets
- Perform visual inspection
- Remove chips from machine and place in scrap bin
- Ensure machining operation is performed according to all documentation including the Work Order, Setup Sheets, Part Drawings, Machining Process Sheets and Special Instructions (if applicable).
- Inspect machined parts to ensure compliance with Remke Quality standards.
- Complete applicable Work Order and Quality documentation and daily production reports as required.
- Maintain work area in a clean and neat manner ensuring all tools, fixtures, materials and other supplies are cleaned and put away at the end of every shift.
- Know, understand and comply with Remke Quality Policy and its objectives.
- Know, understand and comply with all Remke Safety Rules and guidelines.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the Machine Shop Supervisor.
Quality Position Requirements:
- Basic mechanical skills and ability to operate complex machinery.
- Read and write English.
- Basic mathematical skills.
- Read and understand all documentation including Work Order, Setup Sheets, Part Drawings, Machining Process Sheets and Special Instructions.
- Operate multi-spindle screw machines.
- Identify and use all required Quality inspection tools including gauges, calipers and other fixtures

BODY MOVEMENTS: The employee must have a full range of body movements including use of hands to finger, handle or feel objects. Must be capable of bending, reaching and crouching. The employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or touch objects, tools or controls and talk and hear.
BODY SENSES: Must have command of all five senses – sight, hearing, touch, perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Specific vision abilities required include close vision depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
STRENGTH: Must have the ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds with regularity.
Work Environment:
This position will be working indoors in a smoke free environment.
Measures of Performance:
The Position Responsibilities will be the basis of measuring the performance of the individual holding the position of Multi-spindle Operator. The individual will be evaluated on their merits of success with regard to each of the points stated in describing the duties of this position.
