Job Summary
JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE
The Mining 4.0 PMO will be responsible for providing group wide guidance and governance in Continuous Improvement initiatives, according to the methodology and practices in the frame of the Industry & Mining roadmap. He/she will be tasked with supporting the implementation of standards and tools through the coordination of initiatives and the sustenance of best practices with the sites and business areas . As part of the Corporate I-Cube team, he/she will work with cross-functional teams to define and execute continuous improvement programs in order to improve the efficiency of processes, practices and organisations in all Operations dimensions: Safety, Quality, Competitiveness, Delivery, People & Environment.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Lean methodologies, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement frameworks. This role is critical in driving a culture of continuous improvement and ensuring that our processes align with the organisation’s strategic goals, with focus on Safety, Sustainability and Growth .
KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Support Industry 4.0 program development and implementation for sites and mines across the globe. Collaborating with site and above site functions
-
Facilitate Workshops and Training: conduct training sessions and workshops to educate employees on continuous improvement practices and tools.

Data Analysis and Reporting: collect, analyse, and interpret data to identify trends, measure performance, and provide actionable insights.
-
CI & Mine 4.0 program management: support the coordination of execution and results of the CI and digital initiatives using the tools of the program management to ensure the management of resources, planning and deployment.

Monitor and Measure Impact: establish metrics to track the effectiveness of improvement initiatives and report progress to senior management.

Project Management: lead through continuous improvement projects at group or function level, ensuring timely execution, adherence to budget, and achievement of desired outcomes.

Change Management: drive change management initiatives to ensure smooth transitions when implementing new processes or practices.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: work collaboratively with various departments (two of the main stakeholders are the MRP team & Sustainability team) to gather input, share best practices, and standardise processes. To efficiently implement the digital solutions, the candidate has to interact with the IT colleagues and ensure with them an on time delivery of the solutions.

Foster a Culture of Continuous Improvement: promote a culture of innovation and continuous improvement throughout the organisation.

Benchmarking for identification of opportunities to compare and explore new technologies, aiming to enhance Imerys Digital Solutions catalogue

Cultivates and promotes a strong continuous improvement culture.

Maintains and creates appropriate documentation: for reports, project execution, and data analysis.
Mining 4.0 PMO must be comfortable and competent in presenting general & technical subjects to a wider audience, either through routine meetings, training courses, seminars or webinars.
Scope: Worldwide, all entities of the Imerys Group.
Travel: up to 40%, potentially extended according to project needs
Education and Experience requirements
Education:
-
Engineering degree or equivalent.
Experience:
-
2 years of relevant experience in Operations (Industry or Mining).

Including site based work experience related to operational activities.
-
Significant operational safety experience and knowledge.
-
Developing work systems and establishing and rolling-out workflow standards.

Project management experience.
-
Involvement in operational performance and efficiency improvements both with direct accountability and as an influencer.

Technical skills:

Competency and experience in managing projects in a structured way.

Certification in Lean, Six Sigma is desirable.
