The Testing Analyst partners closely with the Product Manager, Product Owner, the business line(s) and Agile team to drive the evolution of the digital portal. The Testing Lead will be responsible for testing and test documentation for the digital portal and all the applications that support it.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Must be able to interpret processes, procedures, and requirements to ensure test cases, a testing plan and execution are seamless.
  • Ability to follow an agile process - writing stories, exception criteria, etc.
  • Implement and lead the planning and implementing of the testing process.
  • Manage testing cycles for both internal MetLife teams and Vendor releases.
  • Conduct user acceptance testing with IT and business partners.
  • Prepare test cases, test scripts and test data.
  • Report defects and assist in business team understanding.
  • Analyze test results and track testing metrics.
  • Prepare and present test reports.
  • Prepare metrics around deliverables.
  • Have a deep understanding of all applications that support the digital portal.


Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:
Required:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written) with strong analytical and communication skills to comprehend and clearly communicate in business terms information relating to technical and support issues.
  • Ability to work towards deadlines and ensure teams are aware of progress being made, roadblocks and milestones
  • Ability to work with multiple departments and to handle multiple builds and frequent releases.
  • A clear understanding of the testing process and methodology.
  • 3-7 years in a testing role within the financial services industry.
  • Must have knowledge with digital experience.
  • Solid understanding of the Agile mindset.


Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree required. MBA a plus.
