As a Merchant Services Migrations Design Manager within the Payments Migrations team, you will work within the Central Migrations Office (CMO). You will cooperate closely with other teams (Intake, Outreach & Execution), as well as a wide variety of partners across Product/Channel management, Implementation, Technical Implementation, Client Service, & Technology.
You will be responsible for producing a definition (the design) of a successful migration approach for all migration events that fall within the scope of the role, minimising impacts to clients and colleagues.
You will be expected to understand the detailed needs of all in-scope migrations, producing a Statement of Work which underpins successful completion within agreed time, cost & quality parameters.
Job responsibilities:
- Define & deliver a migration Charter and/or Statement of Work which fully articulates the optimum migration approach through partnership with a variety of stakeholders & subject matter experts
- Lead migration meetings/forums, including Steering Committees and Working Groups to ensure consistent stakeholder understanding of migrations versus the demands of the business
- Participate in and support wider CMO initiatives for continuous improvement
- Serve as the escalation point of contact for stakeholders for all migrations in your span of control
- Acquire & leverage expert knowledge of the firm's Merchant services infrastructure, products & services
- Remain up-to-date with Merchant Services strategies, and product/solution roadmap in order to inform Migration approach(es)
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- 5+ years of Merchant Services infrastructure/channel/product or solution experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to both clients and internal partners
- Project Management skills
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
- Effective issue resolution and escalation skills; must be able to recognize issues and their severity; escalate to appropriate individuals/functions and manage to resolution
- Excellent time management and prioritization skills in a high pressure, competing-priority work environment
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Experience in operational Merchant Services areas (implementation, setup, support)
