Metasites Team Lead

We are looking for a passionate and innovative Technical Lead to join our Metasites team. The ideal candidate will spearhead the development of Xsolla Metasites, a transformative platform designed to revolutionize how games are revealed, monetized, and developed. You will play a key role in creating a YouTube-like game ecosystem that empowers developers to share prototypes, developer diaries, and engage players in unprecedented ways.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Development Management:

• Set goals and plan the development process for the team.
• Estimate implementation timelines for individual tasks.
• Organize and facilitate team rituals.
• Create and manage the product QA process.
• Participate in testing and delivery processes.

Team Management:

• Lead a diverse team of senior engineers.
• Support employees’ professional growth through knowledge sharing and mentorship.
• Leverage team members’ strengths while addressing weaknesses.
• Build a culture of collective responsibility and commitment.
• Foster trust, creativity, and mentorship within the team.
• Define future technologies and development architecture in collaboration with the team.
• Participate in architectural discussions across the department.

REQUIREMENTS

• 5+ years of work experience in technical development.
• Proficiency in Kanban methodology.
• Strong knowledge of Go and PHP programming languages.
• Expertise in SQL and MySQL/PostgreSQL databases.
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform technologies (e.g., Kubernetes Engine, CloudSQL, PubSub, Cloud Run) or other cloud providers.
• In-depth understanding of backend components like caches, networks, load balancers, and CDNs.
• Proven ability to build reliable, scalable, and fault-tolerant software.
• Flexibility to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

PREFERRED

• Familiarity with modern front-end frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.
• Experience in developing CI/CD pipelines.
• Automation testing experience with Playwright or Cypress.
• Working knowledge of key-value and document databases.
• Prior experience in team management.
