Primary Responsibilities:

Effectively follow work-order directions and repair equipment using appropriate tools to meet U-Haul standards.

Road test vehicles.

Perform work in a timely manner.

Perform thorough evaluations of equipment through multi-point inspections.

Clearly identify and professionally express issues in both positive and negative situations.

Continued learning via U-Haul education to stay up to date with current technology and our new fleet.

Team Members are expected to willingly assist in additional areas as necessary, following the directives and guidance of their supervisor(s).
Minimum Qualifications:

Basic mechanical aptitude. Previous 1-2+ years of repair experience strongly preferred.

Valid driver’s license.

The ability to work as part of a team as well as individually, with or without direct supervision.

Basic computer skills—must be able to operate Windows based systems, use web browser, download PDF documents, use web based Outlook email, etc.

Willingness and ability to work 40 hours per week; 7am to 4pm Monday through Friday.

Possess basic mechanic’s tool set and toolbox.
Work Environment:
The work involves moderate risks or discomforts which require special safety precautions, e.g., working around moving parts, machines, fumes, or chemicals as well as loud noises. Will be required to use protective clothing or gear such as masks, safety shoes, goggles, gloves or shields. Some exposure to outside elements such as cold, heat, rain, wind, etc.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties required, you should be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. assisted or unassisted. You will also be moving frequently, standing, sitting and moving beneath and around equipment.
