Job Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Designs, develops, analyzes, troubleshoots and provides technical skills during product development
- Conducts minor projects and plans method of approach
- Reviews project progress and evaluates results
- Recommends corrections in technical applications. Specifies materials, equipment and supplies required for completion of technical projects
- Evaluates vendor capabilities to provide required products or services
- Uses professional concepts; applies company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues
- Works on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors
- Exercises judgement within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action
- Has internal and some external contacts. Normally receives general instructions on routing work, detail instructions on new projects or assignments
Education and Experience:
- BS of MS Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience in mechanical engineering
- 2-4 years in a mechanical design role
Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- SolidWorks 3D CAD experience or equivalent
- Familiarity with production methods
- Basic finite element analysis
- Ability to work independently
