Our location in Irving, TX currently has an opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer. The Mechanical engineer is responsible to provide engineering support to new and existing products, processes, fixtures, and tools.
This position works out of our Irving, TX location in the CoreLab Division.
As a Mechanical engineer you will apply engineering and scientific principles to the evaluation and solution of technical problems with some guidance from technical lead or manager. Supports continuous quality improvement and may serve as technical lead for individual projects (component/subassembly)
What You’ll Work On
- Design sub-assemblies to meet broad design goals, establish requirements and specification.
- Use empirical, numerical and experimental analysis to analyze designs.
- Designs hardware to support features that are contained in the product definition to include design specifications, circuit designs, technology selection recommendations, etc.
- Evaluates and selects appropriate components and technologies for parts and lower level subassemblies.
- Utilizes and develops knowledge and experience to define experimental, empirical and numerical analyses to evaluate designs.
- Selects test methods and simulation models to mitigate design risks and ensure new design reliability for components.
- Remains abreast of technical advancements and continually develops skills.
- Documents custom product, tools, fixtures, prototypes with specifications, schematics and layouts to support document control and tool release.
- Involved in test method and model development.
- Constructs a variety of prototypes, tools, and fixtures used for research and/or development purposes.
- Helps establish processes based on product specifications and evaluates process and design alternatives based on "design for manufacturability.
- Applies theoretical principles, evaluation, ingenuity and creative / analytical techniques within engineering and scientific principles.
- Troubleshoots, investigates and resolves problems involving techniques, materials, equipment, part and sub-assembly design; documents justification or rationale as needed.
- Provides input into dFMEA, pFMEA and risk analyses. Identifies and mitigates sub-assembly risks.
- Consistenty meets timelines for engineering tasks.
- Strong organization, follow-up and attention to detail.
- Supports improvement of products, processes, and/or design tools to be employed for investigation and design development.
- Leads and participates in technical design reviews.
- Writes, reviews and assesses impact of engineering changes.
- Applies engineering and scientific principles to evaluate and solve technical problems; documents justification or rationale as needed.
Required Qualifications
- B.S. in Engineering or closely related STEM field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in product, process development and technical design.
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to apply statistics and analytical thinking.
- Technical knowledge and expertise of subsystems, design protocols, and problem-solving tools.
- Ability to apply statistics and analytical thinking.
- Effective time management and prioritization skills.
- Strong written & verbal communication skill Demonstrated experience working in a team environment.

The base pay for this position is
$60,000.00 – $120,000.00
