Job Purpose:
The Mechanical Design Intern provides computer-aided design (CAD) and detail drafting support to new product development and standard product support engineering activities. This position involves producing detailed drawings and simple layouts.
**This internship can be part-time during school year with a flexible schedule, and full-time in the summer.
Essential Duties:
CAD design & documentation:
•Participate in design of new products in cooperation with a design team consisting of engineers, other designers, and lab technicians.
•Produce CAD models/detail drawings of new products.
•Revise and redraw as required, production drawings of existing standard products.
•Use and apply Graco drafting standards.
•Complete ECOs by utilizing PDM and other tools.
•Other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
•Looking for students entering their second year of a two-year technical degree.
•Thorough knowledge of mechanical design drafting practices.
•Capable of using and applying Graco drafting standards.

The base pay range for this position is listed below, exclusive of fringe benefits or other compensation. If you are hired, your final base hourly rate will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, competencies, education, and/or experience. In addition to those factors, we will also consider internal equity of our current employees. Please keep in mind that the range provided is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at or near the maximum of the range would not be typical to allow for future and continued salary growth.
