Job Description SummaryThe Next Generation Products (NGP) organization is responsible for the design, analysis, integration, and support of future military engine products. The NGP Design Engineer owns the design, development, and qualification of advanced military products, specifically Externals and Configurations components. The engineer is responsible for executing technical design tasks including analysis and manufacturing support of assigned hardware in addition to program management of hardware cost, weight, and schedule deliverables. This position reports to an engineering manager in Evendale, OH with the opportunity to integrate with various internal and external engineering disciplines.

Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Execute the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements. This work would include mechanical and/or electrical engineering for all products
- Developing conceptual knowledge of professional discipline. May include support roles with specialized expertise or technical knowledge in broad area.
- Applies general knowledge of business developed through education or past experience. Understands how work of own team contributes to the area.
- Resolves issues using established procedures. Consults supervisor or more senior team members for issues outside of defined instructions/parameters.
- Collaborates with others to solve issues. For customer facing roles, develops strong customer relationships and serves as the interface between customer and GE. Exchanges technical information, asks questions and checks for understanding.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited university or college
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.
- Due to the nature of the duties of this position, this role requires the individual to obtain and maintain US Government Security Clearance; prerequisite for a security clearance is U.S. citizenship

This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information.
