The Opportunity:

We are expanding our reach to senior secondary education (years 11 and 12) and are in the process of crafting a exceptional Mathspace textbooks aligned with the latest curriculum for NSW, VIC and QLD. This is an exciting chance for educators with a knack for senior level exam preparation to contribute significantly to our innovative platform. Your work will directly impact hundreds of thousands of students across Australia and beyond, preparing them for critical examinations and their future academic endeavors.

We are recruiting for a team of senior educators to work on our new series of 11/12 books for release in 2025/2026 respectively.
Specifically:

  • Team Lead: full-time position to write content but also manage a team of contractors and guide on curriculum alignment, coherence and rigour.
  • teacher contractors: Part-time positions, minimum commitment 15-20hrs a week to take write, edit and review a topic at a time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and structure advanced mathematics content for years 11 and 12 of the QLD, VIC and NSW Senior curricula, ensuring it aligns with curriculum standards and is tailored to relevant exam preparation.
    • Must be an expert in one of those states with enough experience to extend their knowledge to the interpretation of standards for other states
  • Review and incorporate existing Mathspace materials, modifying and updating as necessary for senior secondary levels.
  • Create comprehensive and challenging exam-style questions, focusing on a balance between procedural skills, conceptual understanding, and real-world application.
  • Craft detailed lesson plans and educational resources to complement question sets and enhance student learning.
  • Collaborate with our team to ensure content coherence and quality across all learning modules.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in teaching or developing curriculum for years 11 and 12 mathematics.
  • Extensive knowledge of exam formats, question types, and assessment criteria relevant to senior secondary mathematics.
  • Minimum of 5 years teaching experience in a senior secondary setting, preferably with involvement in exam preparation or assessment design.
  • A collaborative and proactive work ethic, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to adhere to project timelines.

Desirable:

  • Background in coding or educational technology.
  • A strong ability and willingness to leverage AI tools to automate and improve workflows
  • Familiarity with recent changes in senior secondary mathematics curricula.
  • Experience in a remote or digital education environment.
