Job Responsibilities:
SUMMARY
The Materials Intern will assist in the development and implementation of efficient material flow processes within our manufacturing plant. This internship offers hands-on experience in value stream mapping, lean manufacturing principles, and the use of ERP/MES systems to enhance material management practices.
REQUIREMENTS:

• Currently pursuing a degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or a related field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis.
• Basic understanding of lean manufacturing principles and value stream mapping.
• Familiarity with ERP/MES systems is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and maintain an Excel-based PFEP database.
• Conduct value stream mapping of material movements throughout the plant.
• Analyze data to identify areas for improvement in material handling and storage.
• Assist in the implementation of lean material flow practices on the plant floor.
• Enhance plant floor visibility through the use of digital tools and applications.
• Support the development and maintenance of pull systems to optimize material flow.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate lean/modern material practices with ERP/MES applications.
