Job Responsibilities:
Job Security

  • Material Requirements Planning (MRP): Utilize MRP systems to determine material requirements based on production schedules and forecasts.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure sufficient supply, avoiding shortages while minimizing excess stock. Conduct regular inventory audits and cycle counts.
  • Supplier Coordination: Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers. Place orders, expedite deliveries, and resolve any issues related to material quality or delivery schedules. Coordinate communication and escalations for supplier expectation as required.
  • Production Support: Collaborate with production teams to understand material needs and adjust plans as necessary to accommodate changes in production schedules.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze data related to material usage, lead times, and inventory levels to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Cost Management: Work to optimize material costs through effective negotiation with suppliers and efficient inventory management.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of material orders, deliveries, and inventory levels. Oversee supplier deliveries and ASN accuracy and receipt. Ensure all documentation complies with company policies and industry regulations.
  • Continuous Improvement: Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance material planning processes and systems.
  • All other duties as assigned

  • Assist in monthly workplace inspections.
  • Communicate and enforce all company safety policies, practices and rules, and readily correct unsafe conditions or behaviours of which you become aware.

  • Maintain proper records and backup documentation.

  • Attend all scheduled training sessions, and complete related course materials.
  • Respond to employee issues within 48 hours.


Continuous Improvement

  • Support 5S expectations.
  • Suggest systems, processes, and activities that increase productivity by improving integration of people, materials, equipment.
  • Introduce or recommend changes to work methods aligned with Mafact and MPS methodology.
  • Support continuous improvement and cost reduction efforts within your department.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Good understanding of production inventory control techniques and principles.
  • BS/BA degree in Logistics, Business Administration, or International Business or 4 years equivalent professional experience in Material Planning including Material Requirements Planning (MRP).
  • Familiarity with methods, tools and electronic equipment applications, preferred.
  • Results Orientated. Has a strong bias for action. Follows up quickly and consistently to brings issues to closure.
  • Team approach
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven project and time management ability.
  • Computer literate, including proficiency in Microsoft Word/Excel/Project.
