About the Position

Dexis is recruiting for an experienced Master Strategic Planner to support U.S. Central Command (USCENTCOM) in integrating and synchronizing Department of Defense military activities with United States Government strategy. The position will focus on developing inputs to strategies, campaign plans, and concepts of operation that translate strategic and operational objectives into coordinated activities across DoD components, USG agencies, allies, coalition members and regional partners. These services are required to support unique Joint Planning Team (JPT)/Operational Planning Team (OPT), Bi-Lateral, Multi-Lateral, and other efforts. This position is contingent upon contract award.

Responsibilities

  • Organize, direct, and coordinate planning activities across joint planning teams and operational planning teams 
  • Provide analyses, recommendations, and draft products for USCENTCOM leadership and primary staff 
  • Support development of orders, analysis, estimates, and briefings for DoD, interagency, allies, coalition members, and partner nation leaders 
  • Provide subject matter expertise on all aspects of the Joint Operational Planning Process 
  • Analyze course of action decisions, mission statements, and commander's intent to develop executable plans and orders 
  • Facilitate coordination across working groups, components, interagency partners, and coalition members 
  • Manage transition of plans to execution phase while maintaining situational awareness 
  • Contribute to preparation of reports, analytical research, and strategic assessments 

Qualifications 

  • Master's degree in a relevant field 
  • Graduate of JAWS, SAMS, SAASS, SAW, MAWS, or Senior Service College equivalent program 
  • Minimum 10 years of joint strategic planning experience 
  • Minimum 5 years planning experience at Geographic or Functional Combatant Command Headquarters 
  • Comprehensive knowledge of joint operational planning processes 
  • Experience in coordinating with interagency and multinational partners 
  • Strong analytical and communication skills 
  • Active DOD Secret clearance

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Prior experience at USCENTCOM 
  • Experience leading joint planning teams 
  • Knowledge of CENTCOM Area of Responsibility 


Below is the pay range aligned with this position. When developing a range, Dexis evaluates compensation holistically, triangulating between external market research, our budget for the position, and internal equity to arrive at a figure that is fair and competitive. Offers within this range will be based on an individual candidate's qualification, relevant education and experience, skills, performance, and organizational needs.

Dexis pay range for this role:

$118,000$121,000 USD
