JOB DESCRIPTION:

Primary Function:
- Translates business and user needs into system requirement specifications. Includes evaluation, analysis, documentation of requirements, and translation into proper system requirement specifications.
- Formulates and defines system scope and objectives based on both end-user needs and a thorough understanding of business systems, applications, and industry requirements.
- Understands the business implications of technical solutions and assists in defining the technology solutions to support any future business requirements.
- Ensures policies and standards adherence is consistent with Corporate/ Division standards. Ensures compliance with governmental regulatory requirements.
- Ensures that IT applications meet the needs of the organization.
- Communicate effectively with team members and outside parties on IT applications related subjects.
- Prompt and punctual with deadlines and work hours.
- Ability to work successfully in a team environment of both infrastructure and applications.
- Able to execute IT projects applied locally or by corporates.
- Keen awareness and appreciation for internal and external Customers.
- Ability to multi-task and work with minimal supervision.
Major Responsibilities:
- Performs necessary product data management on recipes based on input from Technical, Operations, and/ or QA.
- Interprets new or changed requirements to determine the necessary modifications to existing recipes which may affect operations and overall system functionality.
- Assists with the development of training materials specific to manufacturing business systems.
- Assists in the development of requirements relative to system enhancements or improvements.
- Ability to work in a highly structured environment and have a strong attention to details.
- Assists in the development of SOP and training materials specific to manufacturing business systems.
- Assists in processing and follow-up on all manufacturing documentation change control processes.
- Investigate/ troubleshoot plant process failures involving POMS and integrated control systems (included but not limited to SAP & LIMS) to allow optimization of system operation 24x7 hours.
- Provide POMS information and technical expertise to customers and internal organization.
- Communicate with project teams for regular updates, reports, and customer project evaluations.
- Lead in Recipe design review to ensure the solution meets operation's needs.
- Support SAP Master Data Management.
- Ensuring the testing and change control strategies meet corporate policy requirements.
- Responsible for solution testing and validation documentation in some circumstances.
- Any other duties as directed by supervisor.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Engineering/Science or related discipline
- 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in SAP/POMS master data management; MES/LIMS
- Prior experience in Recipe Management, but other functional knowledge will be advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills including the ability to translate technical information into basic understanding, and the ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with a diversity of people at an individual and team level.
