Team mission

As Systems Accounting Lead at GetYourGuide, you’ll play a vital role in our Accounting Team. Reporting directly to the Director of Accounting, Tax & Treasury, your mission is clear: maintain top-notch, accurate and compliant records in our marketplace accounting systems for the GetYourGuide Group. You will work diligently to transform our sales data into accurate, invoicing-ready information, ensuring compliance with IFRS and international tax regulations for invoicing purposes.  Additionally, you'll foster the dynamic growth of your team, supporting relevant internal stakeholders as our business scales.

You will:

• Utilize Analytical Expertise: Analyze large volumes of data to deliver meticulous reconciliations according to month-end close deadlines and on an ad-hoc basis. This includes handling mass data analysis and transaction reviews within the SAP FICA & BRIM modules.
• Ensure Data Integrity in SAP FICA & BRIM Modules: Oversee mass accounting-related transactions in SAP, ensuring end-to-end process integrity. This role requires providing insights and solutions for business process optimization while maintaining data accuracy and reliability.
• Lead the Team: Develop the Marketplace Accounting team, enabling them to meet targets and ensuring they reach their maximum potential.
• Drive Ownership and Innovation: Lead accounting-related projects, including Business Process Designs and SAP S4/Hana System development, with a particular focus on leveraging the SAP FICA & BRIM modules for enhanced financial operations.
• Act as a Communication Hub: Serve as a key point of contact for internal and external inquiries regarding accounting, tax accounting, and specific queries related to SAP FICA & BRIM. Manage and design Jira board functionality and analysis capabilities.
• Foster Collaborative Partnerships: Collaborate with external stakeholders, such as auditors and tax consultants, to ensure seamless integration and functionality of the SAP FICA & BRIM modules within broader financial systems.

Who you are

• Innovative Change-Maker: You are excited about driving change and bringing innovative solutions to life, eager to challenge the status quo and inspire others to embrace new ideas.
• Educationally Grounded: You have completed business studies with a focus on accounting or completed commercial vocational training with additional qualifications in financial accounting/balance sheet accounting. Additional training or certification in SAP FICA is highly desirable.
• Experienced in Finance: You bring a minimum of 7 years of experience in the finance department of a medium-sized company, ideally within the e-commerce sector.
• Empowering Team Leader: You have experience leading a small accounting team, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages growth, innovation, and efficient teamwork.
• Regulatory Expert: You possess strong knowledge of the commercial code and IFRS. Additional expertise in SAP FICA & BRIM module regulations and compliance is a plus.
• Analytically Skilled: You excel in analytical tasks and demonstrate proficiency in MS Excel, Power BI, Power Query, and basic coding abilities. The ability to manage and analyze large sets of data is crucial.
