We have an exciting opportunity for a Marketing Summer Intern at UL Research Institutes, based in our Columbia, Maryland office. This 3-month internship provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a non-profit research environment, contribute to meaningful projects, and develop valuable skills in research and analysis.

What you’ll learn and achieve: 

As the Marketing Summer Intern, you will play a key role in the rapid growth of UL as you: 

  • Assist in amplifying research projects related to FSRI safety mission and goals. This may involve organizing events and sourcing or creating web content, social media, presentations, and other written materials. 

  • Support in creating reports, presentations, visualizations, and public education campaigns summarizing research findings. Prepare materials for internal and external presentations 

  • Help collect and organize content following standard operating procedures. 

  • Work closely with the research amplification team and other departments to gather information, share information, and contribute to a collaborative and innovative work environment. 

  • Assist in managing and organizing projects, ensuring they are on brand, on schedule and within budget. Take on specific tasks related to project goals. 

  • Perform administrative duties as needed, including data entry, scheduling, and coordination of meetings.

Professional education and experience requirements for the role include: 

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's program in a related field (e.g., communications, marketing, public relations etc.). 

  • Recent graduates may also be considered. Strong interest in the non-profit sector.
