The Marketing Specialist is responsible for performing day-to-day Marketing tasks at CDC. Joining CDC’s Marketing team in Liberty, Missouri, this position will support Marketing efforts for all global locations including content creation, event support, company website and social media updates, digital asset administration, and internal communication proofing and distribution.

Requirements

• Provides Marketing support for internal and external company events, including training meetings, sales conferences, employee engagement events, tradeshows, etc.

• Creates content for company monthly newsletter, distributing to global employees via physical and digital channels.

• Manages and supports the resolution of marketing requests by the global business stakeholders, working closely with colleagues to clarify details, obtain due dates, and determine priority levels using Asana and Ziflow to track progress.

• Creates presentations for internal and external use, ensuring brand guidelines are met.

• Works to ensure that the company websites are updated and accurate. Updates content as needed which may include page editing/creation, document additions, and rep locator additions/updates

• Manages marketing assets stored in an in-house digital asset manager for sales network use and creates user profiles as necessary.

• Acts as a system administrator to proof and publish copy for internal announcements on company intranet and other internal channels.

• Works with department stakeholders to implement a weekly social media schedule for company brands, growing channel following, impressions, and engagement.

• Revises, edits, and creates literature and other creative assets in Adobe Creative Suite and/or similar creative platforms.

• Manages the procurement and distribution of branded merchandise and giveaways.

• Manages and organizes the marketing conference room, product demos, show kits, etc.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or related field

• 3 years’ experience in marketing, communications or business analysis

• 3 years’ experience managing company social media channels.

• 1-3 years’ experience organizing internal- and external-facing company events

• 1-3 years’ experience using WordPress, HubSpot, Adobe Creative Suite, Canto, Constant Contact, Hootsuite, Ziflow, and Asana or similar platforms.

• Graphics design capabilities preferred

TECHNICAL / FUNCTION SPECIFIC:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills.

• Ability to work with colleagues at all levels to fulfill marketing requests.

• Good problem-solving, assessment, prioritization, and organizational skills.

• Working knowledge of computers sufficient to successfully Microsoft Windows and Office

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Motor skills sufficient to successfully and safely use required tools and computer equipment.

• Ability to stand and/or walk as needed.

• Using proper lifting techniques, ability to lift up to 25 pounds as needed.

• Ability to wear required personal protective equipment, including safety glasses and safety shoes.
