The Marketing Project Manager collaborates closely with the creative team and customers to ensure that the design and execution of all work and department goals meet our strategic and creative standards via a structured timeline. This role is on the front lines of daily project management and production, facilitating the workflow of innovative projects and managing these timelines from the initial brief through the final production release. The Marketing Project Manager will work within and manage assigned project management tools and facilitate print deadlines, proof approvals, and outputs with final print production partners.  
 

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Set and manage all creative project timelines, monitoring and driving strict adherence to all milestones and final due dates.  

  • Manage print production schedules from release to asset delivery.  

  • Maintain weekly project reports, statuses, and comms as needed and lead inter-departmental weekly Design Queue Review meetings to gauge workload and ensure forecasted work is on track.  

  • Utilize project management tools to track project statuses, manage and identify available resources, and assign projects to creative and production vendors. 

  • Quick ability to understand the scope of a project brief to ensure all information and assets are provided before assigning to the designer.  

  • Proofread all creative, copy, and brief requirements before distributing creative to briefer for review. 

  • Quality control of all briefs to verify that the project meets acceptance criteria defined by our brand standards 

  • Keep the flow of information in the design queue clear, concise, and organized and maintain timely communication 

  • Maintain all internal creative project needs, including, but not limited to, product launch assets, retail marketing, digital advertising, and internal print and digital needs.  

  • Enforce strict adherence to standardized procedures, such as consistently applying naming conventions, file/folder organization, versioning control, job slugs, etc. 

  • Ensure final assets are transferred to proper folders with accurate naming conventions as assigned.

  • Lead all project management tool training as needed.  

  • Remain current with market and project management trends on new opportunities and techniques, contributing to efforts around improved efficiency opportunities.  

  • Performs other responsibilities as required. 

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities) 

  • Excellent communication, strong negotiation, and initiative-taking conflict-resolution skills. 

  • Ability to work daily within department-mandated enterprise tools that evolve, e.g., Monday.com and Asana

  • Successfully manages and enforces schedules and on-time delivery from creative teams and briefing partners. 

  • Strong initiative and ability to manage multiple projects with conflicting deadlines; ability to complete projects timely and accurately. 

  • Knowledgeable in print production timelines and processes.  

  • Must be highly meticulous with strong organizational skills. 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to deliver clear and concise directions. 

  • Ability to influence and work proactively with all levels of the organization.  

  • Ability to build strong work relationships and collaborate with others in cross-functional teams. 

  • Understanding of brand standards and product consistency  

  • Thrives in a challenging environment with a cheerful outlook. 

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE 

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, or related preferred or equivalent experience. 

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in project management required 

  • Minimum of 2 years in a corporate retail, print production, or agency environment preferred. 

  • PMP certificate a plus.

  • Golf experience a plus.
