About The Role
The Marketing & EventS Coordinator will support our global sales team in the Marketing, Brand and Communications (MBC) organization at Gen. They will be responsible for the coordination of all partner events that will span various regions and Go-to-Market partnership channels. Working closely with the Global Partner Events Specialist and members of the GTM (Go-To-Market) Team, the coordinator will play an important role in executing a variety of events for Gen. This is role is based at our U.S. headquarters in Tempe, AZ. The person in this role is required to be in the office multiple days a week.
Responsibilities
Event Planning & Management
- Assist with organizing and planning of Gen’s schedule of 50+ tradeshows and meetings.
- Manage process of Event Intake forms and adding approved events to the Event calendar.
- Confirm staffing for shows and send out calendar block emails.
- Manage post show recap scheduling.
- Assist with the planning and execution of the annual Cyber Safety Summit.
- Participate on team calls to take notes for event planning.
Project Management
- Manage and develop use of Asana project management tool to assist in keeping tradeshow/meeting deliverables status up to date for the team.
- Manage Events OneDrive to keep contracts, shipping information, show fact sheets, payment details, and relevant communications organized for individual shows.
Procurement & Inventory Management
- Manage and execute processing purchase orders and purchase requisitions for partner events and vendors.
- Oversee inventory management of promotional items working with vendors.
- Assist with ordering promotional and trade show materials with vendors (includes international vendors).
Marketing & Collaboration
- Collaborate with the GTM marketing team on various projects (e.g., email template proofing, collateral and presentation needs for show) and follow up.
- Produce PowerPoints for pre & post show meetings.
- Assist with maintaining budgets for marketing and events.
- Maintain marketing reporting to track and analyze key metrics, including overview ROI.
Data Management
- Monitor inputting of lead lists in Salesforce.
Required Knowledge and Skills
- Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple projects with competing deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work well individually or as part of a team.
- Proactive work ethic required; able to self-manage projects from start to finish.
- Highly organized and self-motivated with superior multitasking skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills – can work across a variety of teams and people with ease
Qualifications:
- 3-4 years of Event Planning and Marketing experience.
- Demonstrated project management skills and working with budgets.
- Advanced technical skills using Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, OneDrive, Teams.
- Knowledge of the following industry tools is an advantage: Zoom (meetings and webinars), Salesforce, HubSpot, Oracle, Workamajig (Creative Project Management Tool)
- Experience managing third-party vendor relationships.
- Education required: Undergraduate degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, English, Event Planning, or a related discipline.
