Overview

The Marketing Content Manager will be responsible for developing and executing content strategies that position LI-COR as a leader in GHG monitoring and sustainability. This role will focus on creating informative, engaging, and persuasive content that resonates with our target audiences across multiple platforms, including blogs, social media, email campaigns, case studies, video scripts, and more. Additionally, the position includes development of sales tools that align with product positioning and overall sales strategies. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers and sales scientists, to ensure our messaging aligns with user personas and positioning statements, driving a strong connection between our products and the needs of our customers.

Professional Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Environmental Science, or a related field.

Experience

  • 3+ years of experience in content marketing, preferably in a technology or environmental sector.
  • Experience collaborating with product managers or technical teams to create targeted messaging.
  • Proven ability to create engaging, high-quality content across multiple formats (written, visual, video).
  • Experience working as a member of a collaborative team to meet a common goal.
  • Strong understanding of SEO best practices, keyword research, and content optimization.
  • Experience creating engaging digital campaigns.
  • Ability to translate complex technical information into compelling, easy-to-understand content.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Passion for environmental sustainability and a commitment to staying informed about GHG monitoring and climate change issues.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience working in the sustainability, environmental, or clean tech industries.
  • Familiarity with digital analytics tools such as Google Analytics.

Position Responsibilities

Specific 

  • Develop and manage the overall content marketing strategy, ensuring alignment with the company's brand, objectives, and growth goals.
  • Produce and manage high-quality, SEO-optimized external content, including blog posts, case studies, press releases, newsletters, advertising, social media, and website copy.
  • In collaboration with the sales team, develop sales tools based on company and product messaging to support overall sales strategies.
  • Create content on deadline that educates target audiences about the importance of greenhouse gas monitoring, the critical need for scientifically validated data for informed decision-making, and the benefits of using our technology.
  • Collaborate with internal marketing team of technical content director, graphic designers, marketing supervisor, and marketing specialists to bring written content together with visual design to meet the objective set in a creative brief.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to develop clear, compelling messaging and translate that into sales tools
  • Ensure content addresses key customer pain points and highlights the value of our solutions.
  • Tailor content to engage and resonate with diverse international audiences.
  • Oversee the content calendar, ensuring timely and consistent delivery across channels.
  • Manage email marketing campaigns, including writing content using performance metrics to improve effectiveness of the email channel.
  • Develop content partnerships with industry influencers, bloggers, and media outlets to expand the company’s reach and credibility.
  • Monitor content performance and adjust strategies based on data and feedback to improve effectiveness.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging content marketing strategies in the environmental space.
