EchoStar has an exciting opportunity for a Marketing Communications Specialist in our Hughes Network Systems Division. This position will play a key role in crafting compelling and persuasive content that aligns with our corporate brand voice and marketing strategies. This position will be located at our headquarters in Germantown, MD.
Responsibilities:

  • Plan, shoot, and edit high-quality video content for various marketing and communication purposes, including promotional videos, product demonstrations, social media and internal communications.
  • Create dynamic 2D motion graphics and 3D animations to represent complex concepts and enhance video content visually.
  • Help produce live corporate events, including streaming and recording, ensuring high standards of audiovisual quality and create on-demand, post-event content.
  • Manage and organize video files, motion graphics, animations, and other multimedia assets as the job requires.
  • Engage with executive-level stakeholders to gather insights and feedback, ensuring that content aligns with strategic goals and meets high standards of quality and effectiveness.
  • Work in partnership with cross-functional teams to integrate audiovisual elements into broader marketing campaigns and communications strategies.
  • Facilitate clear and effective communication channels to streamline project workflows and address any issues or adjustments promptly.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, tracking progress and adjusting as needed to accommodate shifting priorities and deadlines


Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, the arts, film, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in filming and editing video, creating motion graphics, and 2D/3D animations.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality results in an often demanding, deadline-driven environment.
  • Exceptional creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Ability to collaborate and be a team player.


The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level and competencies. Candidates need to successfully complete a pre-employment screen, which may include a drug test and DMV check.
Will be eligible for discretionary bonus, with funding based on company performance.

Compensation Range
Annual Salary: $67,000.00 - $84,000.00
