Marketing Automation Specialist

Position Summary:

The Marketing Automation Specialist is a hands-on technical expert responsible for managing and optimizing Catalent’s marketing automation platform (Eloqua), Salesforce CRM marketing functions, and related marketing technologies. Reporting to the Marketing Effectiveness Manager, this role focuses on executing and refining lead generation, nurturing, and campaign workflows to improve marketing efficiency and effectiveness.

The ideal candidate will work closely with internal teams and external vendors to troubleshoot issues, implement best practices, and support seamless integration across systems. Additionally, the individual will explore innovative applications of artificial intelligence (AI) to enhance marketing operations and drive measurable results.

The Role

• Salesforce CRM Marketing Management
  • Manage marketing-side Salesforce CRM activities, including setting up campaigns, reports, and dashboards to support lead tracking and pipeline visibility.
  • In collaboration with external partners, ensure CRM marketing data integrity by implementing and maintaining data hygiene protocols, addressing duplicate or incomplete records.
• Marketing Automation Platform Management
  • Collaborate with the external partner to maintain and optimize the performance of the Eloqua marketing automation platform.
  • In conjunction with marketing effectiveness manager, design and optimize automated workflows, lead nurturing programs, and scoring models to support marketing objectives.
• Marketing Technology and Applications Management
  • Support the Marketing Effectiveness Manager in integrating and managing marketing technologies to ensure alignment with sales and marketing strategies.
  • Research, recommend, and implement AI-driven tools to improve campaign execution, analytics, and decision-making.
• Process Improvement and Training
  • Collaborate with external partners to develop and document best practices for the effective use of Eloqua, Salesforce, and other marketing technologies.
  • Provide training and ongoing support to internal teams, enhancing adoption and maximizing the impact of marketing tools.
• Data Analysis and Reporting
  • In collaboration with Marketing Effectiveness Manager:
    • Track and analyze campaign metrics across marketing systems to measure performance and ROI.
    • Develop advanced dashboards and reports to provide actionable insights to marketing and sales stakeholders.
• Other duties as assigned.

The Candidate

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of hands-on experience with marketing automation, CRM management, or marketing technology platforms.
