The Market Vice President of Affiliate Performance is responsible for managing the performance of NeueHealth’s affiliate primary care providers participating in the value-based contracts associated with NeueHealth’s Value Services Organization (VSO), which includes Medicare ACOs, Individual and Family Plans (IFP), Medicare Advantage, and Medicaid. Under the direction of the VP of Government Programs and Business Development, the Market VP is responsible for engaging and retaining physician practices, implementing quality improvement and cost savings initiatives, tracking and managing KPIs by line of business, and ensuring regulatory and compliance requirements are met. Relationship management with internal and external stakeholders, including physicians, practice managers, care managers, and payors is a fundamental function of this role.
The Market VP will serve as a key member of the leadership team responsible for driving progress towards quality and cost goals and the overall profitability of each contract. This is a high visibility role that offers significant responsibility with opportunity for career growth.
This is a work from home position with travel within regions required. Preferred locations for candidates are FL, TX, MN and CA.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Builds and manages a Regional Market Performance team, including Market Managers and Clinical Consultants, that is responsible for managing affiliate providers in a given region
- Contributes to company-level growth and retention targets for NeueHealth affiliates
- In collaboration with the VP of Government Programs and Business Development and senior leadership, develops a performance management and provider engagement playbook, including KPIs, data and analytics packages, cost and quality initiatives, care management structures, and best practices
- In collaboration with the VP of Clinical Performance, develop clinical initiatives and strategies to drive contract profitability, including managing medical expenses and achieving quality targets
- In collaboration with the NeueHealth ACO and analytics teams, facilitates performance reporting and workflow development in support of quality measure and risk adjustment and coding improvement.
- Implements an engagement strategy to build, grow, and sustain relationships with physician leaders, and leverage practice relationships to engage, implement, and sustain ACO/VSO priorities
- Develops a deep understanding of regional stakeholder needs, regional healthcare landscape and strategic market intelligence to guide operational and growth strategy, deploy initiatives, and identify the operational drivers of success
- Responsible for the proactive and reactive regulatory management of all applicable programs and policies related to payer programs enrolled or evaluating.
- Responsible for monitoring affiliate compliance with contractual obligations, including performance metrics and incentive programs
- Identify organic and inorganic growth opportunities and support the VP of Government Programs and Business Development in growing the affiliate network; attends conferences and meetings to increase NeueHealth brand awareness and build relationships
- Oversee and manage payor joint operating committees (JOCs) as well as hold internal executive-level meetings on affiliate performance by contract
- Stay up to date on policy changes related to CMS and CMMI programs
- Ability to travel to Miami, provider practices, and conferences; estimated travel 15-20%
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
• This position will oversee a team of three or more Market Success managers and Clinical Consultants in each region
EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s Degree Preferred
• Consulting and strategy experience a plus
• 10+ years of related experience working with value-based primary care groups and a proven track record of creating, maintaining, and enhancing customer relationships and communicating effectively with senior management.
• Significant experience working with ACOs and primary care medical groups in deploying their shift to value-based care
• Strong understanding of and familiarity with the relevant market players and the payer and healthcare landscape

A reasonable estimate of the range is $170,706.67-$256,060.00 annually. Additionally, employees are eligible for health benefits; life and disability benefits, a 401(k) savings plan with match; Paid Time Off, and paid holidays.
