Market Intelligence Intern

Progyny is seeking a Market Intelligence intern for the summer of 2025. The Market Intelligence team at Progyny plays a pivotal role in gathering and analyzing competitive information, industry trends, and market insights to support strategic decision-making across the organization. By staying ahead of the curve, the Market Intelligence team enables Progyny to adapt and excel in a dynamic and always-evolving fertility, family building and women’s health benefits landscape. This internship provides a unique opportunity to learn about the role of Market Intelligence in a rapidly growing, competitive field and how that role can support the work of Marketing, Sales, Client Success, Product, the C-Suite, and other internal teams.

What you’ll do…

• Monitor and analyze competitors' websites, LinkedIn pages, Glassdoor reviews, Reddit threads, and other public sources daily to gather and report valuable intelligence.

• Support the development of research initiatives aimed at understanding Progyny member and customer perspectives, leveraging data to identify key trends and areas of opportunity.

• Facilitate the creation of competitive profiles by synthesizing information on competitors' products, services, pricing models, and client relationships.

• Gather and review benefits guides, whitepapers, or reports that provide insights into competitors’ offerings, strategies, and market positioning.

• Assist in the development and maintenance of dashboards and trackers to monitor ongoing market intelligence efforts.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to share findings and create presentations or summaries that support strategic initiatives.

• Perform other duties as assigned to contribute to the overall success of the Market Intelligence function and support organizational goals.

About you...

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree.

• Possess strong research skills, with experience analyzing both quantitative and qualitative data to identify trends and actionable insights.

• A natural problem solver with the ability to “read between the lines” and make connections across various data sources to uncover key themes and implications.

• Demonstrated interest in healthcare, with a curiosity about industry trends and competitive dynamics.

• Strong Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) and written/verbal communication skills.

• A self-starter who takes initiative, seeks opportunities to learn, and works well both independently and in team settings.

• Highly organized and methodical, with exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.

In compliance with New York City's Wage Transparency Law, the annual salary [wage] range for NYC-based applicants is: $25-$50. There are a variety of factors that go into determining a salary range, including but not limited to external market benchmark data, geographic location, and years of experience sought/required. Progyny offers a total compensation package comprised of base salary, cash bonus, and equity.
