Job Summary
Reporting to the Regional Team Lead of Data Solutions, you will join a highly motivated, multi-disciplinary team of real estate professionals. This team is primarily responsible for the production of our New Homes Database, which tracks residential sales in key Canadian markets and provides real estate professionals with market insights and data for well-informed decision-making. In this role, you will research the residential real estate market in the Greater Calgary and Edmonton Areas, gaining first-hand knowledge of these markets. This role is highly cross-functional, requiring collaboration with various teams within the division to ensure project deadlines are met. The ideal candidate will work closely with other departments to drive initiatives and achieve shared goals.
Key Responsabilities

Daily review of Global Service Center (GSC) Tracking file. Validate and resolve data issues daily to improve data quality and meet market requirements, including verbal communication and monitoring other secondary data sources.

Review broker reports, stakeholder/government websites, press releases, and other sources for secondary research validation.

Communicate verbally with stakeholders for secondary research updates not handled by GSC. Enter and update secondary research data in the system. (i.e. inventory and market expansions, new supply deliverables, direct requests, data validation from GSC entries, New Homes Now Selling, Sold Out, and Cancelled Project Data, etc.)

Prioritize and resolve any data issues identified by the Team Lead through regular data audits to enhance data quality and meet market requirements in a timely manner. Conduct regular data audits, and escalate issues to Team Lead as needed.

Update secondary research data in the system as necessary. Triage direct inquiries from stakeholders based on task (GSC-related, system/technical issues, local market expertise, etc.)

Assist in preparing source data for primary research, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

Conduct historical data updates (additions, area changes, deletions, construction status changes, classification changes, etc.)

Resolve any client inquiries regarding record and process inquiries in a timely manner (direct or delegated by Team Lead). Triage any other requests as necessary to Team Lead, Customer Success, Support, Account Mgmt or IT.

Conduct property site visits (as necessary) and liaise with property stakeholders and brokers to gather value-added metrics for secondary research via verbal, email, or in-person communication.

Establish and maintain industry relationships with stakeholders through real estate events and networking to improve data cooperation and acquire data for secondary research focusing on value-added metrics (as needed)

Gain comprehension and training of all core Data Solution products. Complete product competency review.

Ability to conduct secondary research for all core Data Solutions products (as necessary)
Key Qualifications

University degree in Real Estate, business, finance, data entry, social science or another field as long as you are eager to learn about real estate.

Valid driver’s license is required.

Exceptional analytical and data entry skills with the ability to stay organized, multitask effectively, and maintain a strong attention to detail.

Excellent interpersonal skills, able to establish trusted relationships with industry professionals.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Proficient in use of database and word processing applications including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
