Test Automation Engineer

About the position
We are looking for a Manual Tester to join our quality assurance team. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of manual testing principles and methodologies, along with a proven track record of identifying and documenting software defects. This role offers an opportunity to work on exciting projects in a collaborative and dynamic environment.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute manual test cases to verify software functionality and identify defects Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and develop comprehensive test plans
- Create and maintain detailed test documentation, including test cases, test scripts, and test reports
- Conduct regression testing to ensure software stability and reliability after code changes
- Perform exploratory testing to uncover hidden software issues and improve overall product quality
- Participate in agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and sprint reviews
- Work closely with developers to triage and prioritize bugs for resolution
- Stay updated with industry best practices and emerging trends in manual testing techniques and tools.
Must Have Skills:
- Overall 6+ Years with 4+years of relevant experience in manual software testing, preferably in a product development environment Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, techniques, and best practices.
- Experience with test management tools such as JIRA or similar.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Good to Have Skills:
- Experience in the OTT/Media domain is good.
- Good knowledge of streaming protocols (DASH, HLS) and testing Live, VOD, DVR streaming.
Qualification and Experience
- BE/B.Tech or equivalent degree in Computer Science or related field.
