Role Responsibilities:
- Engage with customers to understand their roadmap, interpret their technology needs and identify opportunities for Applied Materials’ engagement
- Drive the adoption of new technology at the customer site, utilizing demos, on-site evaluations, joint development programs and new tool qualifications
- Serve as a liaison between the customer and the business unit for assigned projects, ensuring a clear understanding of customer issues and the delivery of applicable solutions
- Lead teams in providing high-visibility customer support through on-site installations, system diagnoses, and the service and repair of complex systems and equipment
- Work closely with the customer to develop leading-edge processes to manufacture the most advanced semiconductor chip, with equipment optimized to their needs
- Create hypothesis experiments and design of experiments (DOE); analyze data with statistics; and compile reports with high-level conclusions on technically challenging process engineering experiments
- Oversee the troubleshooting of complex problems; perform multiple root cause analysis; and resolve a variety of difficult process engineering and customer product issues
- Apply your extensive knowledge of best practices, business challenges and regulatory issues to identify innovative solutions and recommend improvements to processes or products
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physics, Material Science and Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or Photonics and Optoelectronics
- 7-15 years of experience in the semiconductor fab or equipment industry , preferred to have ETCH tool experience
- Strong leadership skills to guide others in problem-solving, lead complex projects, and develop strategies for project execution . Strong customer engagement capability to build-up long-term relationship, preferred to have TSMC customer experience
- Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate difficult concepts, anticipate potential objections, and persuades others, often at senior levels, to adopt a different point of view
- Communication proficiency in English language
