Job Description
Working as part of our Treasury team, you will optimise and create new processes to aid the
reconciliation of Card Schemes & Alternative Payment Methods. You will be required to adapt in a high-volume and dynamic environment, juggling multiple projects whilst maintaining
accuracy and quality of output.
The ideal candidate will be a dedicated, laser-focused and highly organised individual, not
shying away from understanding new and complex data structures, automation
opportunities and potential global wide system implementation.
Key Accountabilities and Main Responsibilities
- Understand stakeholder requirements to propose, develop and implement core reconciliation systems and tools.
- Understand the current use of data and data architecture within the reconciliation
department to ensure on-going stability and accuracy as well as developing and
implementing further automation initiatives. - Provide key support and oversight for the data feeds and processes that are critical to the successful running of the Treasury Functions.
- Consistently improve existing reconciliation processes to scale, introducing controls and minimising the need for manual effort in routine tasks.
- Support various Excel Spreadsheets, VBA Macros & power queries.
- Ensuring data downloads are received and uploaded to various systems in the set time frame.
- Liaising with internal & external parties when data downloads fail.
- Support the Reconciliation Manager & Sr. Reconciliation Manager with MI, ad-hoc tasks and periodic reporting.
- Ensure existing and new processes are properly documented
Qualifications
- Ability to establish end-to-end process solutions and work cross-functionally including with remote teams.
- Previous experience gained working within Operations and/or the finance industry preferred.
- Preferred in-depth knowledge of the control and reconciliation of accounts gained over a minimum of 3 years.
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills to enhance standards, policies and control.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with large data sets with ease and
confidence. - People management skills to be able to drive change and provide positive influence to achieve organisation goals.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to work effectively with senior business management across business lines and geographies.
- Strong problem solving and prioritization skills and can perform multitask under pressure with a keen eye for detail.
- Expert knowledge of MS Excel (Formulas, Reference Functions, PowerQuery, VBA).
