We are a fast-growing leader in the Healthcare Software industry, and we’re seeking a sharp, innovative Manager of Talent Acquisition & Retention to join our HR team. This role is based at our corporate headquarters in Overland Park, KS, with the flexibility to work from home while periodically coming into the office for new hire orientation, meetings, and collaboration.


Reporting to the SVP of People, you will lead the recruitment and retention strategy across high-growth business areas, developing and implementing initiatives to attract and retain top talent while ensuring a seamless experience for candidates and hiring managers in a geographically dispersed environment. You will manage a recruiting team responsible for hiring over 100 individuals annually, partnering with key business leaders to understand current and future talent needs and driving innovation in the recruitment process.


Your focus will be on delivering an exceptional candidate experience, advancing diversity and inclusion efforts, and regularly evaluating recruitment and retention functions by analyzing metrics to identify opportunities for improvement and proposing actionable solutions for optimization.


Prior experience working at a SaaS or DaaS commercial software company is required, preferably healthcare software. You should also have a proven track record of developing innovative sourcing strategies to attract top talent in Software engineering, AI, and Data Analytics.


Key Responsibilities:

Innovative Sourcing: Develop and execute cutting-edge sourcing strategies to uncover and engage top Software Engineering, Data Science, and Machine learning / AI talent using social media, job boards, networking events, and partnerships.

Talent Strategy Development: Partner with hiring managers to identify immediate and long-term staffing needs, and tailor recruitment strategies to meet department and company goals.

Full-Cycle Recruitment: Manage the entire recruitment process, from initial candidate sourcing to offer negotiation and onboarding, ensuring a seamless and positive experience for both candidates and hiring managers.

Candidate Experience: Ensure a superior candidate journey by focusing on transparency, communication, and a high level of personalized service throughout the hiring process.

Diversity and Inclusion: Drive initiatives to foster a diverse pipeline of talent and promote inclusive hiring practices across all stages of the recruitment process.

Recruitment Metrics: Regularly analyze recruitment data to assess performance, identify bottlenecks, and propose actionable solutions for continuous improvement.

Team Collaboration: Work closely with HR and leadership teams to align recruitment strategies with organizational goals. Mentor and coach junior team members on sourcing and recruitment best practices.

Retention Initiatives: Collaborate with HR on post-hire engagement and retention programs, ensuring smooth onboarding and long-term success for new hires and employees

 

What you need to be successful:

  • Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree in HR, Business, Marketing, or a related field, OR Associate's degree plus 4 years of HR recruiting experience and certification in sourcing (PHR or SPHR) in lieu of a degree.
  • SHRM Talent Acquisition Specialty, AIRS, or other recognized sourcing certifications are a plus.

  • Experience:

  • Must have 5+ years of talent acquisition experience with a strong focus on sourcing, and screening at a commercial SaaS or DaaS Software company, preferably at a Healthcare Software company.
  • 1+ years of experience leading a talent acquisition team, with demonstrated leadership and team management skills.
  • Proven track record in IT technical recruiting, specifically for software engineering roles; experience with AI and data analytics recruitment is highly desirable.

  • Technical Skills:

  • Strong internet sourcing capabilities using Boolean searches, LinkedIn, GitHub, social media, and other platforms to locate top talent.
  • Knowledge of AI-based sourcing tools and recruitment technologies is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) with experience in reporting and analytics; Lever experience is a plus.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

  • Recruiting and Interviewing Skills:

  • Deep expertise in behavioral-based interviewing (DDI or others) and selection best practices to ensure the right cultural and technical fit.
  • Current knowledge of federal and multi-state employment laws, with an understanding of HR and compensation practices.

  • Personal and Professional Competencies:

  • A naturally outgoing and friendly demeanor with a passion for delivering exceptional candidate and hiring manager experiences.
  • Results-oriented with a high sense of urgency, determination, and tenacity to meet deadlines and recruitment goals.
  • Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in managing multiple tasks and follow-through.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Process improvement aptitude—constantly seeking ways to optimize recruiting workflows and drive efficiency.
  • Openness to innovative ideas with a flexible mindset to explore new approaches and accept ideas from others
