As a Manager of Supply Chain Planning supporting Global S&OP, you will be trusted to work on managing production to optimize the use of resources and meet production schedules and standards at Ft Worth, TX. In this role, a typical day will include:

  • Planning and controlling production schedules and coordinating with material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of approved materials
  • Estimating and scheduling the human resources, tools, and equipment needed for the production process Researching, evaluating, and recommending changes to production processes, systems, technology, or equipment to enhance organization's production capabilities

Other responsibilities:

  • Act as the liaison between the commercial and manufacturing management teams for all aspects of the demand and supply management process.
  • Maintain optimal S&OP processes within the franchise for assigned products. This includes developing, maintaining and monitoring all S&OP processes in the franchise including target setting, training, process maintenance and tool set use, to achieve an effective S&OP process.
  • Fully understand and convey franchise unique needs, develop informational decks/reporting to clearly assess plans, including supporting data, analysis, and new developments in supply upsides and constraints.
  • Lead unit and dollar demand forecast (including revenue and samples) review with franchise counterparts.
  • Work alongside franchise counterparts to align current ROFO demand forecast submission against market activities and sales trends.
  • Identify gaps between current plans and financial commitments, derive possible gap closing initiatives and highlight the risks and opportunities.
  • Apply demand control where necessary on large or abnormal orders while still striving to meet operational and customer excellence.
  • Drive region/market level best practice sharing of problem resolution and process enhancements
  • Monitor, alert, escalate and mitigate supply performance issues and future required capacity issues in operations
  • Drive global inventory and service level targets for the business franchise
  • Develop, monitor and report global S&OP performance with KPI’s including benchmarking with other companies/industries. Drive KPI reporting to a fruitful, forward looking business process for the business franchise
  • Serve as a change agent/business decision driver for required process and/or organizational changes within GSC and lead the sharing of Best Practices across franchises globally
  • Drive root cause investigation of key business issues within the business franchise, develop and implement effective improvements and preventive actions (CAPA)
  • Seek for opportunities and drive continuous performance improvement programs

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO ALCON:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +13 yrs; Assoc.+9 yrs; M.S.+2 yrs; PhD+1 yr)
  • The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English
  • 5 Years of Relevant Experience
  • 3 Years of Demonstrated Leadership
