Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) Manager with a strong foundation in software engineering and team leadership. As an SRE Manager, you will lead a talented team responsible for ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of our critical infrastructure. This role requires a hands-on leader with a proven track record of managing site reliability initiatives and enhancing system resilience and efficiency. Your focus will be on streamlining operational processes, optimizing system architecture, and guiding the team to resolve complex technical challenges.
Here are some key responsibilities and qualifications for this role:
Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of site reliability engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
System Reliability: Ensure the reliability and availability of systems by implementing monitoring, automation, and incident response strategies.
Performance Optimization: Develop and implement strategies to optimize system performance and reduce downtime.
Incident Management: Oversee the incident response process, including root cause analysis and post-incident reviews.
Collaboration: Work closely with development teams to ensure the scalability and reliability of services, promoting a “you build it, you run it” culture.
Automation: Develop tools and software to automate operational processes and reduce manual intervention.
Service Level Management: Manage Service Level Indicators (SLIs), Service Level Objectives (SLOs), and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to meet reliability expectations.
Job Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Python, Go, Java) and a solid understanding of operating systems, networking, and distributed systems.
Experience: Proven experience in managing or developing distributed systems and handling production incidents.
Communication: Strong communication skills to explain technical concepts to both engineering and business stakeholders.
Collaboration: Commitment to collaborative problem-solving and shared ownership of services.
Annual Pay Range:
110,500 - 160,000 USD
