In this role as Manager, Site Planning, you will play a critical role within our Supply Chain Planning team by managing the planning processes at our Harwell site. Working closely with key stakeholders, you will provide subject matter expertise, oversee the development of planning processes and SAP/APO functionality, and create, maintain, and deliver production plans for Moderna products. This opportunity is ideal for a proactive individual passionate about ensuring the successful implementation of site planning and supply chain standards within a collaborative environment.
Here’s What You’ll Do
Your key responsibilities will be:

Leading site-based planning processes, including driving critical discussions with stakeholders on a weekly and monthly basis.

Ensuring alignment with global supply chain standards within your area of responsibility.

Collaborating with the Global SC Planning team to align tactical planning with site-specific requirements.
-
Overseeing short-term production, release, and supply plans to proactively address deviations from expected timelines.

Partnering with the warehouse operations lead and supporting the site SC lead to prioritize supply needs and ensure required Customer Service Levels (CSL).

Monitoring and optimizing site capacity over the tactical horizon for Drug Substance (DS), aligning with requirements from the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process.

Supporting the development of a comprehensive and optimized production plan, addressing major risks and required decisions in monthly supply reviews.

Maintaining planning and master data parameters in collaboration with the master data management and global supply chain teams.
Your responsibilities will also include:

Measuring performance metrics such as on-time supply to plan, inventory levels, and site inventories of critical materials against targets weekly.

Conducting root cause analyses to identify and resolve systemic issues, ensuring consistent achievement of performance levels.

Coordinating with the Global Material Planning team to ensure weekly and monthly material availability.

Contributing to the continuous improvement of site-specific supply chain processes.

Here’s What You’ll Need (Basic Qualifications)

BS/BA in Supply Chain, Science or Economics/Finance with 10 years’ experience.

8+ years’ experience as a Production Planner within Biotech, Pharma or other related batch production manufacturing environments. DS manufacturing Site experience strongly preferred.

5+ years’ experience with SAP MPS and MRP
-
This position is site-based, requiring you to be at Moderna’s site full-time. This position is not eligible for remote work.
Here’s What You’ll Bring to the Table (Preferred Qualifications)

APICS/ASCM CPIM and CSCP accreditations preferred.

Working knowledge of site supply chain processes including demand management, S&OP, production planning, capacity planning, material planning and procurement, order fulfilment, master data and life-cycle management.

Demonstrated ability to lead through influence, at all levels, in a complex environment with matrix organization.
-
Demonstrated ability to collaborate across boundaries (functional and cultural) and form effective working relationships with colleagues.
-
Customer and business focused – determined to deliver successful outcomes in a cost-effective way.
-
Demonstrated change management and process management experience is preferred: demonstrated usage of data to drive process improvements.

Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
