Job Description:
Broadcom’s Mainframe Software Division (MSD) is looking for an exceptional software engineering supervisor with a passion for building mission critical and complex software products. You will be managing an engineering team, carrying multiple roles, including:

Product leader – Assist the Product Owner (PO) in evangelizing the product and its future direction.

Engineering leader – Lead your development team in DevSecOps practices and product code quality.

Development coach – Mentor team members in their efforts to strengthen development skills.

Performance manager – Radiate team performance and improvement data.

What you'll do/own
-
Lead a team of engineers in product development, technical design, and successful delivery to support Mainframe Security and Compliance products.

Manage and coach your team through effective 1-1’s, career guidance, mentorship, and continuous feedback (positive and constructive)

Ensure high technical standards by driving engineering excellence and culture (CI/CD, automation)

Work closely with cross functional teams (Product team, program management, design) to plan/define the product roadmap and manage cross team dependencies.

Effectively communicate decisions and issues both upwards and downwards
What We Look For

Proven and passionate Engineering technical leadership experience with a track record of delivering complex technical solutions in fast-paced environments.

Experience participating & leading code reviews, refactoring, gathering code quality metrics.

Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with strong relationship, collaborative and organization skills

Experience with Agile development processes, test driven development and a zeal for automation at all levels
-
8+ years of relevant industry experience, 1-2 years in management role

Compensation and Benefits
The annual base salary range for this position is $107,000 - $171,000
This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in accordance with relevant plan documents, and equity in accordance with equity plan documents and equity award agreements.
