Job Description

The Quant Research Manager is responsible for leading the quantitative function of the research vertical. Broader responsibilities would include managing a team of three quant researchers, designing/recommending complex research methodologies, overseeing end-to-end project delivery and ensuring the team effectively translates research data into strategic recommendations that help solve client business & marketing challenges. 

-Identifying research needs post review of stakeholder requirements and conceptualizing a detailed research approach to tackle key objectives and challenges (particularly complex client challenges)

- Building comprehensive and engaging research proposals across advanced research briefs

- Executing end-to-end projects if and when required periodically

- Building a close relationship and collaborating closely with the qualitative research lead to tackle mixed methodology briefs and help drive integrated product development across qual research and social listening

-Carrying out in-depth analysis of research data to generate strategic insights if and when required

- Helping the team translate insights into effective recommendations/implications

- Triangulating data sources to generate strategic insights and recommendations

- Deriving strategic learnings from advanced statistical research methods and recommending appropriate statistical models as and when required

- Collaborating closely with the research lead to align quant research priorities with business goals

- Building close relationships with key vendors and helping drive cost negotiations across RFPs

-Identifying new strategic vendors for cost optimizations and product innovation

-Collaborating with C-level across the groupe on insights sharing, potential client debriefs, etc as and when required

-Driving successful cross-functional collaboration actively with the BI team on dashboard builds or other data science teams on specific project asks

-Leveraging proprietary Publicis and syndicated third party tools effectively for data and insights wherever required and building strong macro familiarity with them 

-Synthesizing research findings into actionable insights and helping the team to drive this


Qualifications

-At least a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, Statistics, Marketing, Communications, Economics

- Minimum 6 years’ professional experience in market research/consumer insights with at least a minimum of 4 years of experience in the quantitative function of a market research department/agency

- Extensive experience executing Brand Tracking and Copy Testing solutions for at least 3 years rigorously across the B2C sector (B2B would be a plus)

-Should have a strong understanding of brand performance metrics from research methods and how they are used to provide input into business planning/decisions

-Experience in executing other quantitative solutions such as market segmentations, U&As, cross-medias, campaign evaluations, mystery shopping and CSATs

- Extensive experience working with the CAWI methodology. Experience across CAPI as well would be a plus.

-Be able to properly set expectations with stakeholders based on research scope, reporting schedules and follow through on delivery

-Written and spoken English fluency is mandatory

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and proven ability to transform data into a concise, yet compelling story  Ability to synthesize information and produce insightful and accurate analysis and recommendations
