ROLE SUMMARY
The D igital Quality ( DQ) Solution Center delivers advanced solutions that revolutionize Quality, Safety and Environmental Operations within Pfizer Global Supply (PGS). The mission of the DQ Solution Center is to empower and optimize the performance of Laboratory (QC), Quality Assurance (QA), and Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) organizations through the automation and implementation of innovative technologies, with a focus on continuous improvement and excellence. The Quality Control (QC) Solutions team within Digital Quality is responsible for the core solutions within the Pfizer Global Supply (PGS) Quality Control area. The SmartLabs team is committed to driving decision-making and business transformation through data-driven insights. They specialize in developing reactive, proactive, and predictive analytics to enhance lab processes. This includes creating and deploying solutions like dashboards, GenAI/ML tools, and automated processing tools that utilize lab data to eliminate manual tasks and support labs in executing their business processes efficiently
The Manager, SmartLabs - Solution Owner will be responsible to build & maintain analytic capabilities, they will contribute to the connected labs vision for PGS and assist in implementing the technical strategy & roadmap to move Lab Ops towards this vision through visualization, predictive & prescriptive analytics.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
The Manager, SmartLabs - Solution Owner responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Demonstrate agile ways of working.
  • Maintain & prioritize a QC Analytics user story, enabler & defect backlog for solution to effectively manage the technical design, development and delivery of new data analytics tools.
  • Collaborate with the QC Solutions Integration & Engineer Lead to assess technology capabilities and architecture requirements
  • Collaborate and set expectations with business, scrum master and development team
  • Ensure work tasks are completed on schedule to a high quality standard & within configuration guidelines
  • Continuously improve work processes
  • Manage contract developers & testers ensuring there work meets configuration & quality standards.
  • Provide L4 technical support & deployment hypercare support for solution once in use at PGS sites.


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's BS in Information Technology, Engineering or related discipline.
  • 5+ years of technical / project experience in a Lab systems (MODA, LIMS, Empower, PLOG) environments.
  • Design and build the sustainable problem-solving solutions and support and maintain the products that meets the business needs and goals.
  • Assist product team in troubleshooting the technical problems and orchestrate the teams to resolve the production problems or business critical projects
  • Good written and communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate to stakeholders
  • Strong understanding of Databases (Snowflake/AWS databases a like S3, Redshift, Oracle/SQL Server/Snowflake etc.) table structures / table relationships, query the data tables, create visualizations using tools such as Spotfire/ Tableau / Iron Python/ D3 .JS /React JS etc.
  • Strong understanding of Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) process using one or more of the ETLs tool like Informatica IICS, Python, AWS tools
  • Strong programming and coding skills on one or more of the tools mentioned above.
  • Strong understanding of Agile, SDCL, CI/CD, DevOps, GitOps, and ProdOps is required.
  • Experience of modern software engineering, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, documentation and releasing. Good experience in MS Office Products (i.e. MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • An understanding of the Quality Control laboratory business area
  • An understanding of system GMP requirements and demonstrable knowledge of computer system design and maintenance lifecycle in GMP environments.
  • Generative AI experience, specifically with LLMs and AWS services.


PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to manage many parallel objectives and changing priorities. Working with various stakeholders.


OTHER INFORMATION

  • Reports to Digital Quality, Solution Lead SmartLabs
  • Work in collaboration with other Digital & Technology groups within and outside Digital Quality on definition, design, technical build, deployment, embed & optimization of the solutions.
