Ancestry is seeking a manager for the Project Coordination and Inventory Teams in our Content Department.  This is a highly collaborative leadership position which requires excellent communication and organizational skills with the ability to plan, track, and troubleshoot projects through various production platforms and workflows. This job is located in our Lehi, UT office and reports to the Director of Content Production.

The Content Production Manager leads two small teams in our headquarters in Lehi, UT as well as manages work at several offshore vendors who complete various services to maintain our project commitment schedule. This Manager oversees the timeliness of project handoffs for Imaging and Indexing by coordinating with multiple teams and setting clear priorities and quality standards in alignment with our business schedule. This position manages the timely prep and ingest of Ancestry’s physical and digital content that is received daily from our many global partners. Additionally, the Content Production Manager maintains the detailed inventory of physical content and also maintains our digital archive of image files.

What you will do:

  • Manage and oversee monthly project deadlines which includes communicating, troubleshooting, and attending meetings with external vendors and many internal teams

  • Supervise the Project Coordination Team and Inventory Teams which includes leadership duties, such as hiring, training, and tracking KPIs

  • Coordinate with several offshore vendors who complete edits for Ancestry images and final quality audits for Ancestry’s indexed data, maintaining staffing levels, quality SLAs, and production deadlines with these vendor teams

  • Oversee final handoff checks and deliverables of Imaging and Indexing projects to comply with Content quality and contractual standards

  • Oversee the completion of project configurations to ensure that outputs meet department requirements and various partner expectations

  • Manage and oversee physical and digital prep and import

  • Manage shipping and receiving of content, hard drives, etc.

  • Execute partner delivery and maintenance projects according to scheduled deadlines

  • Coordinate with other teams and leadership regarding receipt and shipping of content

  • Organize and maintain pristine archival standards regarding content handling, prep, and storage, according to the direction of dept standards

  • Oversee the completion of partner digital image deliveries to meet department requirements and various partner expectations

  • Deliver frequent progress updates and reports to Senior Management

  • Other tasks as Senior Management sees fit

Who you are:

  • Strong computer skills and proficiency in learning new applications

  • Positive attitude and leadership ability

  • Advanced computer skills and high proficiency in learning new applications

  • SQL knowledge and advanced Excel knowledge needed

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment and adapt to change

  • Experience managing and communicating with offshore vendors preferred

  • Experience holding teams accountable to checklists and processes

We are pleased to share the base salary range for this position: $64,260 - $80,280 with eligibility for bonus, equity and comprehensive benefits including health, dental and vision. The actual salary will vary by geographic region and job experience. We will share detailed compensation data for a specific location during the recruiting process.
