Manager, Operations

This role will lead our EHS Improvement and Sustainability operations in South Vietnam. You will ensure a safe working environment, regulatory compliance, oversee production, processing, distribution activities, aligning them with regional expectations and ensuring targets are met. This role will report to a Regional Director.
 

Principal Responsibilities:

• Direct level EHS Improvement / Sustainability operations to ensure safe working environment in all facilities including tolling at South Vietnam and well as compliance to regulatory requirements. Protection of PPG intellectual property is also an important care-about
• Direct and coordinates production, processing, and distribution activities aligned between of North & South Vietnam facilities and align with regional expectations, ensure operations are within product targets (cost/quality) and project targets (cost/time)
• Define performance goals for your team and work units, review processing schedules and production orders to determine staffing requirements, work procedures, and duty assignments, directs production Managers / Supervisors at South Vietnam to monitor production, quality control, maintenance, and other operations to detect production problems and implement solutions
• Review operations and confers with technical or administrative staff to resolve production or processing problems. Develop plans for efficient management of materials, machines, and employees according to policies, procedures, norms, legal regulations, looks for continuous improvement in safety, quality and productivity
• Promote engagement with all staffs and lead team, including mentoring to develop team and individual capabilities
• Coordinate with Sales and Marketing to review operating plans and sales status as this determines workforce and resources requirements to meet sales forecasts

Qualifications:

• Degree in Industrial / Mechanical / Electrical / Chemical / Production engineering or similar
• Minimum 10 years of experience in manufacturing, related with hands-on operational management skills
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a managerial role
• Knowledge of manufacturing concepts, analysis, techniques, principles and practices (FMEA, PM, Systems, and Material flow)
• Competency in Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement concepts and tools are desirable. Six Sigma will be an added advantage
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken as this role is a part of a multinational business
