The Opportunity
The position of Manager, Operations Training is within our Infectious Disease – Lateral Flow business unit located at Westbrook, Maine. In this role you will provide administrative support to the production team in order to produce quality products, seek continuous improvement, and achieve established goals and targets for safety, quality, and productivity.
What You’ll Work On
- Design, develop and execute training programs including written materials (Lesson Plans, Procedures, Handbooks/Manuals and Standard Work Instructions), pre and post assessments, testing and evaluation and gap analysis.
- Reviews, evaluates, and modifies existing and proposed programs; recommends appropriate changes.
- Assess instructional effectiveness and determines the value-added impact of training on employee skills and performance.
- Support training coordination.
- Maintain updated curriculum database and training records.
- Ability to communicate and interact effectively with employees at all levels of the organization from Production to Management, both verbally and in writing, including preparing presentations.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Directly supervises employees in the Training Department, nights or days.
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
- Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
COMPETENCIES:
- Ability to work successfully as a member of a team and independently with moderate supervision.
- Skill in using computer applications including spreadsheet, database, manufacturing, and word processing software.
- Ability to work collaboratively and building strategic relationships with coworkers.
- Working knowledge of training requirements required by regulatory agencies.
- Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and projects
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related technical degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 3+ years’ experience in training or a related field.
- Minimum of 1+ years’ experience in a supervisory role.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Prior experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Bi-Lingual (French/Portuguese)

The base pay for this position is
$97,300.00 – $194,700.00
In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
