Manager Market Access & HEOR Rare Diseases (m/w/d)
Your Focus tasks
Area Market Access
- Development of evidence-based AMNOG Value & Access strategy and its implementation in the form of an AMNOG dossier.
- Responsibility and professional accompaniment of the access relevant activities for the AMNOG process such as launch preparation, (early) advice meetings and coordination of dossier creation.
- Contribute to the pricing and market access (P&R) strategy by analyzing, synthesizing, and translating technical P&R information into meaningful recommendations and tactics in line with the overall product value strategy.
- Contribute to local market access strategies and develop innovative, value-added approaches to optimize market access for Ipsen's portfolio.
- Prepare and accompany the price negotiations with the respective national and regional stakeholders within the framework of AMNOG and in selective and discount contracts in Germany.
- Responsible for pricing strategies, also in cooperation with the headquarters and national pricing team.
- Management of reimbursement issues for responsible Ipsen products.
- Assessment of market access opportunities of early-stage compounds in Germany. Collaborate and align cross-functionally with relevant internal stakeholders, including Marketing, Medical Affairs, Regulatory, the needs and requirements for the P&MA strategy and execution for payer engagements.
- Internal and external communication of the AMNOG relevant dossier content to present the evidence-based benefits of Ipsen products. Targeted and proactive information and communication with the field sales force and training of employees on market access-relevant issues.
- Answering and coordinating customer inquiries relevant to market access.
- Product monitoring in the region and deep understanding of all aspects. Knowledge and classification of the development status of upcoming innovative drugs in the Ipsen-relevant indications.
- Project management, leadership of cross-functional teams and budget responsibility for the responsible projects.
- Ensuring compliance with applicable relevant rules and regulations of the respective valid pharmaceutical codes.
- Building and maintaining a sustainable network of those responsible in the administrative and political areas of the healthcare sector who play an important role in the success of Ipsen products and evaluating opportunities presented by changes in the healthcare system.
- Intensify existing contact with national decision-makers in the area of market access (including the Health Committee in the German Bundestag, Ministry of Health, Federal Joint Committee, IQWiG, health insurance companies).
- Supporting the marketing of Ipsen products by optimizing and adapting market access processes, also in collaboration with headquarters.
- Represent IPSEN's interests at the pharmaceutical associations and towards the government and politics; Maintaining networks and contacts within health policy working groups.
- Observe and analyze the development of the healthcare system/health policy for changes relevant to Ipsen and derive the need for action from this (including new forms of care).
Area HEOR
- Conduct HEOR and RWE studies such as early economic models, burden of illness studies, external control arms to support single arm trials, and drive the development, analysis, and interpretation of patient-reported outcome (PRO) endpoints in clinical trial, conduct systematic literature reviews to build payer evidence depending on project need and life-cycle state.
- Contribute to the development of trials to meet the German requirements and optimize local market access.
- Prepare local value dossier which presents the product value propositions and the supporting evidence, aligned with the product development strategies and agreed/endorsed by asset team and market access strategy, to realize an optimal value demonstration of the products.
- Development of health economic models to scientifically evaluate and monitor forms of care.
- Use of clinical competition data, economic data and real-world evidence (RWE) of Ipsen portfolio products for patients, payers and market access authorities.
- Analysis of the requirements of HTA and other authorities for health economics and RWE data to optimization of market access for the Ipsen portfolio in Germany.
- Analysis, evaluation and input on clinical development plans, studies and health care research projects with the aim of generating the best possible AMNOG-compliant evidence.
- Formulation of scientific unmet needs as well as the utility values for the Ipsen portfolio based on the requirements of specific stakeholders (e.g. G-BA, GKV-SV, hospital management, KVs, and patients) in relation to Ipsen's solutions for patients in Germany.
- Manage vendors in the conduct of HEOR and RWE projects.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with and other internal stakeholders such as Medical, BUs on a national level and with the HEOR team globally.
- Develop HEOR and RWE communications (e.g. manuscripts, scientific forum presentations, slide decks, symposia), in collaboration with multi-functional teams, to build the peer-reviewed published evidence supporting the value propositions for assigned products and publish results in relevant journals and congresses.
- Observation and analysis of the reimbursement landscape for rare diseases, oncology and neuroscience in Germany.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Health Economics, Public Health, Pharmacy).
- Postgraduate degree (e.g., MBA, MSc in Health Economics) is advantageous.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with at least 2 years in market access or HEOR roles.
- Rare Disease experience advantageous.
- Proven experience in managing market access projects and conducting health economic research.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders.
- Knowledge of the healthcare landscape, including payer and provider environments.
- Proficiency in data analysis and economic modeling tools.
- Fluent in German & English.
